Two forms, one quite small,one quite big,stood before the steps."U-uhm.….I'm kind of n-nervous...What if they d-dont like me, or I-I'm too young, or I'm n-not good enough?" Karl down at the boy."Titus, dont you worry. You have a gift, my boy, so they'll let you in. If not, well, I guess they're not as clever as they act, hmm?" Titus nods, shivering slightly at the gust coming in."Alright, my boy,let's get you inside this Cleverboots Castle. Don't want you to become a icicle." They start up the steps.

Pierelle Ashkins, a student of the college, was just inside the library, sitting in front of the fire while reading a good book, when she looked outside and saw two men approaching the college. One was garbed in armour, he was clearly an adventurer of some kind, or the bodyguard of the other person. That man clearly had no interest in the college. The other one on the other hand, was wearing robes, that didn't actually prove anything, but it maybe meant that he wanted to apply to the college! Pierelle ran down the stairs and came out to greet them, trying not to seem too eager Hello there, sirs. What business do you have?

Titus looks up at the girl,smiling shyly."U-uhm...h-h-hello...." He adjusts his grip on his staff, trying not to slip on the icy steps. Karl smiles at her, supporting the boy with a hand on the shoulder.."Ello, lass. Pleasure to meet you. I'm Karlsmar the stout, and this little lamb is Titus Delmorea. He's come to receive training in Restoration, and perhaps other schools as well." Titus reddens at the little lamb part, pulling his hood down over his face slightly, though not without giving his protector a reproachful look.

Pierelle looks the boy in the robes up and down, he didn't seem like much at all, but the college was a place of learning, it was all about improvement. If it was up to Pierelle, there wouldn't even be an admittance test, they would just accept anyone who wished to learn the way of magic. Pierelle listened to the larger man introduce himself, then introduce the younger boy, who seemed embarrassed at him being called a Little Lamb So you'd like to join? Of course, we would be glad to accept you. All that is required is a test. Could you please perform a spell? Since you want to study restoration, please cast 'healing hands'. Can you do that? she waited patiently.

Titus blinks, then smiles."S-sure......" He holds a glowing hand out towards her, channeling healing energy towards her. The boy didn't wish to waste his mana, and besides, he was always happy to take care of any aches others might have. Even if she didn't have any injuries, hopefully it'll get rid of any icky feelings."u-uhm....T-there you g-go...I hope y-you feel better?"

Pierelle didn't particularly have any injuries to heal, but that unmistakeable glow and the warm feeling that spread through her body was proof enough that he was doing the real thing. She smiled brightly at the boy Congratulations! You did it! Alright, we'd be glad to accept you into the College, just come this way she'd wait until he was ready, then lead him to the head of the college's office.

Blinking as she congrats him, he grins, hopping excitedly. Yay, he was actually in!!!! The boy grinned up at Karl as the larger man steadies him with a amused expression."I did it!!! I did it!!" Karl nods, laughing slightly."Yes, you did. I told you, didn't I? Now, let's follow the nice maiden." Titus nods, calming down, and follows Pierelle.

Pierelle couldn't help but grin widely when seeing Titus's celebration upon hearing that he could join the college, she was glad to see he was so enthusiastic about learning. Once they were ready, she led them through the entrance, walking up the stairs and over to the college leader's office Alright, go in she looked at him expectantly, then realised she should be nice and smiled.

Titus glances around, examining the college. So this was to be his new home...He glances up at Hus uncle, who nods reassuringly at him, smiling as he ruffles the boy's hair.They wind up before the leader's door, and looks nervously at two elders, fidgeting with the hanging ends of his belt.Told to go in, Titus bites his lip nervously, but takes comfort from the smile, nodding and entering."H-hello?" Some time later, the boy exits, eyes shining happy."I-Im a Winter hold Mage n-now." Karl grins, clapping him on the shoulder."Good!! I'll wait till you're settled my boy, then I'll set off to tell your parents the good news!

Pierelle gave him a good luck wave as he walked in. A few minutes later, he came out and said that he was accepted, Pierelle applauded him Yay! Well done! she smiled and tapped Titus on the shoulder Would you like a tour of the college?

Titus smiles,, wiggling slightly in excitement.He couldn't believe it still...he was a official mage!! All he needed to do was train and study, and then he'd be able to help a lot of people!Reddening slightly at the applause and compliment, he looks down,but nods at the offer of a tour.

Pierelle noticed that he reddened slightly for some reason, but she wasn't the best at reading social ques so she had no idea why he was red, or what it meant. She came closer so that their noses were almost touching Are you alright? Are you sick in some way?

As she comes closer the younger boy meeps, pulling the hood over his face. Karl grins, amused."Little note about the boy here. He's rather easy to embarrass and tease. All you have to do is compliment him, repeatedly, or get close....That is, if you're a pretty girl, though the compliment works for everyone." "Uuuuuuuncle!" Karl laughs, hugging his small charge around the shoulders."I'm sorry, lad. Have to get my teasing in before I leave.Now, Miss, shall we get on the tour?"

Pierelle made a confused sound as the boy covers his face with the hood, he seemed to be afraid of her. Why? What was so scary about her? The boy's guardian then explained that he's easily embarrassed, especially by pretty girls. Pierelle blinked in confusion, was she pretty? She guess that she shares traits that are used to describe fair maidens in books. The guardian then suggested continuing with the tour, Pierelle nodded Yes, I should

She led them out to the central courtyard, they had already seen it while she was leading him to the office but now was the time to introduce it This is the Central Courtyard, it's the main hub of the college and you can get to any of the three halls from here. Also, if you look to the middle, you'll see the statue. It's of the first arch-mage, Shalidor. Any questions?

Titus follows, holding his staff close as he glances around, smiling. Karl troops behind, hand on the pommel of his mace so it didn't bang his knee.As she leads them to the courtyard, Titus stares up at the statue in awe. So this was the first archmage....Karl glances at him, then at Peir."Well, lass, I've but one, or at least a couple. How safe are you all here? Do you see much trouble?"

The new student was impressed by the statue, so he didn't have any comments to make, but his guardian asked about the security We don't get any trouble, really. But if we did, it wouldn't be any problem, this is a college filled to the brim with mages, most of which lean more towards combat-based magic. So if say, some thugs came in and tried to attack people, they would be quickly dispatched by anyone who happens to be around. So your nephew is perfectly safe.

With that out of the way, she looked between the two Are you ready to move on? If they had no more queries, she would lead them into hall of attainment, which was just some living quaters This is where mage apprentices stay. Unless you have somewhere nearby to live. Any questions?

Karlsmar sighs."Thanks for that, lass. The family worries, you understand?" He nods when she asks if they were ready, tapping Titus's shoulder to get his attention.The boy blinks, then nods. Led to where he'd be staying, the boy examines it curiously, shaking his head."U-uhm...no...."

Pierelle nodded Alright then, carrying on. she would go out the way they came, leading back to the Central courtyard You see the door opposite to the one leading to the Hall of Attainment? That leads to the Hall of Countenance, which are living quarters for the more advanced mages. It's essentially the same though so there's no point in going in. Now, right this way. she assumed they'd not have any questions, but if they did they could always stop her.

She walked down the courtyard, over to the door that is adjacent to the entrance to the College, then she led them inside, where they would see that a lecture about history was on. Pierelle whispered to the two This is the hall of the elements, where lectures are held, as you can see. If you're serious about learning, this is one of the two places you'll be at most. She'd give them a few seconds, before adding as usual Any questions?

Titus glances at the door. Basically the same?Still...it'd be an honor when he was allowed to sleep there.The two follow her into the hall of elements. Titus listens closely to the speech, but shakes his head. He could learn later. That was what he was here for. As for Karl, he was satisfied at the reassurance that the boy would be fine.

Pierelle nodded, understanding that they had no questions, but Pierelle was glad, because this meant she could take them straight to her favourite place. She would lead them up the stairs until they would fine themselves in a massive library, Pierelle was beside herself with happiness, she loved it here. She could honestly just forget about them and just start reading, but she couldn't do that just yet, so she turned back to Titus This is the Arcanaeum, the school library. This has all the knowledge of magic you could ever want, from history to application, this place has a use for you no matter what kind of magic you want to practice or what kind of mage you want to be. her voice sounded kind of dreamy as she spoke, it made her happy just being here This is the end of the tour. Any final questions?

They follow her, and Titus's widen, a smile growing, as he sees the sight around him. So many books....So much knowledge, and so many stories he could read....As the boy goes to examine a nearby shelf, Karl rubs his beard."End of the tour?Yes, yes it is....Titus?Its time for me to go, m'boy." He looks up, blinkIng, and smiles sadly,nodding. Walking over as Karl kneels, the two hug, and sniffles rise up. The big man,after a bit, stands up, wiping his eyes."I'll miss you, m'boy."Titus smiles, poking him in his metal clad stomach."S-silly...We'll see each other w-when the family comes to visit..." Karl laugh slightly in acknowledgement, and looks at Peir."Try and look after him,if you can, miss? He's a good one." Waving goodbye, he walks out,and Titus looks at Peir."U-uhm....what s-should I do now?" He blinks."Oh!!! We forgot to ask your name!!! I-I'm so sorry!!!"

Pierelle smiled very widely when seeing his reaction to the sight of the library, he too had an appreciation for knowledge. Now that the tour was over, it was time for the boy and his uncle to part ways, so they gave each other a teary farewell. Most people would give them some space, but Pierelle didn't really know about that kind of thing so she just stood there, watching them awkwardly.

The uncle asked her to look out for him, she nodded Yup. Sure thing. Pierelle is then asked what he should do, he also remarks that he didn't ask her name My name is Pierelle Ashkiss. As for what you should do, you should just get settled in over at the living quarters, I guess. After that it's up to you, study is independent. Go to any lectures you think will be helpful and take any lessons you want.

Titus nods, smiling."O-Ok, Miss Pierelle...I-I'll go put my i-items, the c-come back here...."He turns around, the quiet shuffle of his robes whispering out as he walks out.

Walking into the dorm, he puts his things into a chest, then walks out, walking back to the library. Waving at Pier, the boy glances around, wondering what to read first.

While Titus was gone, Pierelle got the idea to go look for some useful reading material for him. She looked through all the books on restoration magic theory and piled them all on one table. Once she was done, she had 5 piles of books, the combined height of which was the size of Titus himself. When he returned, she would show him the books These are all the books I'd recommend.

Titus bliblinks at the sight. Wow....Beaming at her, the boy nods."Thank you!!!" He gives her a quick hug,then sits down on the table, eyes gleaming.'I will learn.....I will become a high healer. Too many people rely on those like me not to.' Grabbing one book as he sits his staff nearby, the boy pulls down his hood, and gets to studying.
